Sometimes We Need a Break From You

Today mommy and daddy went to brunch with some friends while you stayed with grandma and poppy. (I don't know who had more fun.) We had adult conversation and (adult) beverages and yummy food. Afterwards, we went to Target to get some stuff (undies for you!) and had such a pleasant experience. Not that we don't love you ... but shopping without you is such a treat now. No one whines, screams, begs for stickers, doesn't want to stay in the cart, doesn't want to let mommy try on clothes, won't let us put shoes on his feet, wants to eat lunch. We just wandered around. Laughed. Spent a lot of money. Yes, it's come to this. Re-falling in love at Target.
