Your Skin Part 348
Your hand was looking really bad. Your eyes were looking pretty bad. Several mornings we'd find blood in your crib from the excessive scratching. It made mommy want to cry. We decided to try a new dermatologist and on a whim mommy also called over to the pediatric dermatology department at Hopkins where they were taking appointments—for January. But then, a cancellation for last week. We bit. Went to see Dr. Cohen on a rainy Thursday. Mommy brought the huge bag of lotions and potions we've been using. The nurse practitioner was amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable. And you were a little snotty (as in actual buggers) but very silly. We've gotten rid of most of the creams. Regular Desitin for the diaper rash. A new cream and wet sock for your hand. Aquafor and Vaseline for your face. A daily bath and shampoo for your head. A medicine to help you (and mommy0 sleep at night. Almost a week later there is a vast improvement. However, I know not to get ahead of myself. You still seem itchy. Some old patches are looking dry again. But I feel like we have some hope. We go back in a few months.
