5 Years

Hard to believe all we have done in five years. Marriage, Greece, bought a house and moved to Baltimore, adopted Finley, left the Washington Post, started at Baltimore magazine, left Chipotle, started at Potbelly, went back to Chipotle, and all the other trips, friends, weddings, and births in between. But our best things? Milo & Willa.

Bedtime Ritual

When we put Willa down in her Phil & Ted ... she'll close her eyes and scratch the inside of the stroller with her fingernails and then go to sleep. Never fails.

It Only Took 31 Months

... for mommy to cut your nails. (Thank goodness for Anna or you would be on one of those Discovery Health shows.)

Willa's First Visit to the Farmer's Market

Yesterday we went to the market under 83. It was the lady's madien voyage. We had our usual homemade doughnuts and Zeke's coffee. Plus, lots of strawberries. We had a yummy yummy breakfast sandwich from Ethel & Ramone's with andouille sausage, eggs & hot sauce, plus veggie samosas.

To aid in her constipation, we started Willa on pears last week. Not sure what to make of them at first (lots of lip smacking), she is now a big fan. Where most babes would be starting rice cereal, Dr. W is afraid it'll bind up our girl even more. Up next: prunes. Woo-hoo.
